Description
The Marketeer is responsible for understanding our end-users and managing the communication with them. Research that leads to consumer insights serves as essential input to the product and communication strategy of eBuddy. You are the central person in ensuring consistent and coherent communication to our end users in all forms, so that the success of our products is maximized. You are passionate about the end user, eager to know what drives them and an intense user of social networking and instant messaging.
You are part of the Products&Marketing Team, which is a cross-functional group of people comprised of Product Management, User Experience, Business intelligence, Community Management and Visual Design, who together shape the future of all eBuddy products. You work closely with all members of the team, and there’s also involvement with the Sales department (e.g. on email marketing).

Your role
Consumer Insights
- Qualitative research – organize, define and analyze user days to learn how our product is perceived and used
- Quantitative research – organize, design and analyze periodical surveys
- Communicate a clear picture of our end-users within the company
- Market research – be on top of the latest development of our competition and the relevant cultural or communication trends
Communications
- Based on the general and product strategy, execute a communications plan on the most effective way to position and communicate eBuddy
- Responsible for the content on the website, including the eBuddy Blog
- Together with the community manager, optimize our online presence of in social media
If applicable, manage marketing interns
Your skills
- Master Degree with a major in Marketing
- 1 to 3 years working experience in a similar position
- Strong knowledge of and passion about the latest developments in internet, mobile technology, social networks and chat programs
- Experience in conducting qualitative and quantitative user research with proven results in deriving relevant consumer insights
- Experience with email marketing, Google Analytics, online advertising and SEO is a pre
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), preferably also with Photoshop
- Flawless in English language; knowledge of Dutch language is a pre
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills; eye for detail and likes to get to the bottom of things
- Self-starter; ability to work independently and as a team member
- No 9-5 mentality
- Sense of humor and excellent communication skills
